Guaiac Wood essential oil is from the heartwood of Palo Santo, known as Paraguay and Brazil’s Holy Wood akin to the Middle East’s Holy Tree Resins of Frankincense. Often the wood is used as a natural incense by natives. Due to its antiseptic properties, the tree has been used for spiritual remedy to purify and cleanse physically and emotionally. This heartwood resin is thick and creamy with aromas which are earthy, mildly smokey with hints of balsams, slight citrus tones, as well as, warm and woody tones. Heartwood of Guaiac Palo Santo varies in color from light olive green to chocolate brown.
This Bulnesia sarmientoi is a different species from the Bursera graveolens Palo Santo from Ecuador, also known as a Holy Wood which is high in ethers 15% and monoterpenes 65%. Guaiac Wood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) is high ethers 5% and sequiterpenols 88% and, also, has a longer shelf life of approximately eight years. The higher ratio of sesquiterpenols indicate heavier molecules that absorb slower into the body but also last longer which may be a benefit for those suffering from arthritis, gout and muscle pain.
Sustainable harvesting from naturally fallen dead branches and dead trees. The dead tree creates quality properties useful for aromatherapy, of which, the same properties do not reside in cut live branches or the wood of harvest trees. Thus, it’s believed that the vibrational energy of the tree leaves when it naturally falls or dies vs. being cut/amputated from the live tree; and, then resides in the essential oil making it potent.

My new favorite. It’s thick, luxurious, spicy. Love the peppery smell! Goes on smooth. I’ve been working all afternoon and not having the shoulder pain I usually do by this time each day. Thank you YAH for gifting Nitza in these matters and using her to heal Your people. Shalom alechem! Tova Ratzon
