AzureWell Alaskan Cod Liver Oil is minimally processed and sourced from Alaskan codfish in the cold, pristine waters of the Bering Sea.  It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and true Vitamin A (retinol).

Cod Liver Oil is one of the only sources of naturally occurring Hormone D. (So-called “Vitamin D” is actually a hormone.) We do not add synthetic ingredients or attempt to modify the levels of A and D which are naturally available in the cod liver oil.

About True Vitamin A (Retinol)

Retinol (vitamin A) in Alaskan Cod Liver Oil is bioavailable in a form the body can easily use.  Many supplements use Beta Carotene as a vitamin A ingredient, but true vitamin A (retinol, from animal sources) has its own advantages. For one thing, the body must first convert the beta carotene to retinol (vitamin A) before the body can use it, and not everyone is able to make that conversion.  This supplement bolsters the immune system and promotes the health of vital organs such as the heart and liver.
