This blend includes RARE Lily and Honeysuckle and is seasonal.  Though costly and hard to obtain, we believe its aroma and enjoyment is worth the cost.
This is the LAST of the BATCH of rare essential oils.  We hope to one day, again, source these rare essential oils but we have no idea when and the cost will be MUCH MORE if we do!  What we have left are ROLL-Ons.

Dodi ~ My Beloved:  Delight your soul!  Sigh and relish in the aromas of Honeysuckle, Lily and White Grapefruit all distilled in Israel and Lemon from Italy with just a hint of Helichrysum italicum. Besides delighting your soul and spirit, this blend may aid arthritis, joint and muscle issues, hormonal balance and relieve stress.  Many consider it an aphrodisiac creating a desire to be with one’s beloved, or bring memories of a beloved, or give hope for a beloved.  

While the essential oils of resins and bark are the most beneficial for physical restoration, the essences of flowers are known for their restoration of the mind, emotions and spirit.  The pressed citrus oil are refreshing and uplifting to the mind and spirit.

This blend was created to complement meditation upon Songs of Solomon, particularly Song 2:16 . . .

Application:  Inhale, diffuse, wear as perfume on temples, wrists and behind the ears.

Ingredients: 

White Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) – Israeli Grown and Distilled

Lily (Lilium auratum) – USA Grown and Israeli Distilled

Honeysuckle (Lonicera caprifolium) – USA Grown and Israeli Distilled

Lemon (Citrus limonum) – Italy Grown and Distilled

Helichrysum italicum (Everlasting/Immortelle) – France Grown and Distilled

Jojoba – USA

Lily Absolute (Lilium auratum) ~ Essential oil made from Lilium auratum has been one of the most commonly used oils due to its amazing aroma and restoration properties.  Native to Japan, this species is called yama-yuri which literally means “mountain lily.”  It’s one of the true lilies and is also known as the Golden Rayed Lily or Goldband <Wikipedia>.

Made from the lily flower petals, it’s costly to process and extremely difficult to source.  The petals would be destroyed by regular distillation processes and the yield is very low in relation to the amount of plant material needed.  Even more undesirable is that the aroma desired would not be obtained. Therefore, the long process and low yield increases the cost and rarity.  This explains why the perfume industry uses synthetics which may yield the aroma desired but offers no restorative or therapeutic benefits.

For natural restoration benefits of Lily and other delicate flowers, the very expensive and timely process of enfleurage has been used.  A slightly less expensive process now used, more so, is solvent extraction which yields an absolute.

The enfleurage process was the traditional method of extraction for many delicate flowers until it was all but replaced by hexane solvent extraction in the early 1900’s – particularly by and for the perfume industry.

Our Lily Absolute is NOT extracted by using chemicals; rather, it’s extracted by using alcohol made from organic sugar cane.

Personally, I don’t care for the aroma of the enfleurage Lily essential oil.  However, I absolutely (pun intended) LOVE the aroma of this Lily Absolute which is used in Remnant Remedy’s exclusive blend Dodi ~ My Beloved.  We will make the Dodi blend available while supplies and sourcing lasts for the Lily Absolute and Honeysuckle SHeMeN.

Historical Use:  Lily essential oil has been used for depression, circulation and to soften dry skin.  Chemical constituents in Lily are beneficial to stimulate arteries and cause them to dilate which is, mostly likely, why it is used for the heart and to help dissipate spider veins.

Honeysuckle Absolute (Lonicera caprifolium) ~ Any sun loving, flower smelling, southern belle knows the sweet intoxicating aroma of honeysuckle!  The aroma of this SHeMeN brings back my childhood memories while living in South Carolina and Florida.

Traditionally, it has been used for detoxification cleansing and purifying the blood*, acute infections and inflammations, and to help cool and reduce fever – maybe that’s why it smells so good on a hot summer’s day!?  Also, used for sore throats, swollen eyes and headaches.

*Note: REMEMBER – when you inhale an essential oil, its aroma and chemical constituents travel into your olfactory system and their molecules are so small that they cross the blood brain barrier and is absorbed into the blood stream going to every cell in your body.  Inhalation is the safe way to use essential oils and absorbs into the body resonating to the organs and areas where needed.

CAUTION:  When using Helichrysum italicum, be very careful if dealing with a person who has a blood disease that causes them to be a CLOTTER (vs. a bleeder) OR when using medications that cause thickening or clotting of the blood.  Remember LESS is BEST and usually, only  1 – 2 drops at most are needed.
