RavINTsara (Cinnamonum camphora):  RAVINTSARA means “good leaves” in Madagascar and is known as “the oil that heals.”   It is considered to be universal oil much like LAVENDER because of its many uses.  May be anti-viral, antibacterial, antibiotic, antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic, an expectorant and supporting to nerves.  May aid respiratory problems, cuts, wounds, burns, liver, flu, lung infections, rhinopharyngitis, sinusitis, viral hepatitis, cholera, herpes, infectious mononucleosis, insomnia and muscle fatigue.

RavINTsara aka CAMPHOR aka Ho Wood, Sassafras (Cinnamomum camphora):  This is the WOOD not the LEAF.  This Camphor oil has a broad spectrum of actions making it a choice for anaesthesia, antiseptic, stimulant, decongestant and nervous pacifier properties.  It’s also, used for its anti-inflammatory, insecticide and disinfectant properties.  It blends well with Rosemary, Lavender, Basil, Chamomiles, and Cajeput.

RavINTsara is NOT the same as RavENsara (Ravensara aromatica) as they are two different plants with different purposes.
